Job Description

• POSITION SUMMARY
  
  • The EMT for KeyCare Medical is responsible for providing instruction, assessment, follow-up and on call services to patients using respiratory equipment, such as apnea monitors, oxygen, etc. in the home setting. The EMT will provide care for patients in the following groups: infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The EMT is also responsible for occasionally delivering and providing instruction to customers receiving other items of durable medical equipment. The EMT also participates in formal, as well as informal marketing of all products and services provided by KeyCare Medical.
    
• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  
  • Licenses and Certifications Required
    
    • NREMT
      
    • Eligible for ND EMT license and must obtain within 90 days of hire date.
      
  • Educational Requirements
    
    • EMT program as evidenced by licensure.
      
  • Experience Requirements
    
    • None
      
  • Special Skills or Training Requirements
    
    • Ability to apply principles of learning to age specific group.
      
    • Ability to apply principles of pathophysiology and treatment in areas of expertise to age specific group.
      
    • Good understanding of medical guidelines for home oxygen use and diseases relating to respiratory care, preferred.
      
    • Minimum of ten hours of continuing education credits required annually per respiratory requirements.
